What we know about Prague

We keep several trucks in the field across Prague at any time and dispatch by whichever is closest. Coverage is densest along the North-South arterial, the Barrandov Bridge, the Southern Connector and the Prague Ring Road — where breakdowns and collisions actually happen. Into the inner city we send shorter flatbeds that fit the narrow streets of Vinohrady, Žižkov and Malá Strana.

Underground garages are a category of their own. In newer buildings in Pankrác, Smíchov or Karlín the entrance clearance is often 190–210 cm, which a standard tow truck cannot clear. We run low-profile trucks with dollies that pull a car out even from level −2 — just tell us the level and the clearance height in the chat so we send the right truck first time.

We cover the D0, D1, D5 and D8 motorways around Prague around the clock. If you are on the hard shoulder, please get behind the barrier, put on a hi-vis vest and place the warning triangle 100 metres behind the car. Our drivers carry beacons and warning boards for motorway work and always load from the hard shoulder.

The situations we are called to most often in Prague — and how we handle them.

  • Breakdown in a tunnel

    In the Blanka, Strahov or Mrázovka tunnels do not stop voluntarily — switch on the hazards, reach an emergency bay if you can and call 156. We enter only when tunnel control clears us, then pull the car to the nearest exit and load it there.

  • Locked wheel in a car park

    The classic shopping-centre case: a brake caliper seized after a long stand. We arrive with dollies, lift the car onto them and take it away without dragging it on its wheels.

  • EV after a crash

    We carry EVs on a flatbed only and never tow them by the wheels. With a damaged traction battery we follow the fire brigade instructions and park the car at a safe distance from other vehicles.

FAQ — Prague

Can you tow a car out of a blue parking zone?

Yes. If the city has clamped or impounded your car that is a different process and you need the municipal police. We move vehicles that cannot drive but are parked legally.

How long does a transfer to a garage outside Prague take?

Within 30 km of the centre, plan for about an hour including loading. The price follows the kilometres driven; the first five are included in the call-out fee.
